Service

Lions are changing the world.

We live our motto -- "We Serve!"

Lions Service

Did You Know?

  • 25.3 million people are displaced each year by disasters.
  • 820 million people don’t have enough to eat.
  • Every 2 minutes, a child is diagnosed with cancer.
  • Globally, 1 in 11 adults has diabetes.
  • Only 14 percent of people who need hospice care receive it.
  • Half of the world will soon live in water stressed areas.

There is a world in need and Lions around the world can and are helping. We can’t do everything but our support and service to our communities and the world goes a long way.

The "Listen Up!" Program is coming to our District

Sign up for a virtual Listen Up! Preschool Hearing Health Outreach Program Roadshow on Zoom, Thursday, December 11 at 7:00PM.

The Roadshow is an informational overview of the  program, which was launched by District 24-C in April 2025. The program is set to expand into 24-L in 2026 with an anticipated launch date of January 2027. This will require a structured rollout, district leadership, and the recruitment and training of more than 200 Lions across 24-L to serve on preschool hearing (and vision) screening teams. We are committing to serving all children ages 2-5 enrolled in daycares, preschools, and other similar programs in every zip code in 24-L. This may be one of the largest programs we've ever established, and with sufficient support, we can make it happen.

Share your Best Practices

As Lions, our greatest strength lies in the ways we serve our communities. Every project, every act of service, and every partnership creates ripple effects of positive change. To celebrate and learn from these successes, we invite you to share your best practices in service activities.

Your experiences can inspire other clubs, libraries, and community partners to expand their impact. By documenting and sharing what works best in your community, we strengthen our collective ability to serve.
