Financial Assistance for Vision Services:

VLEIF assists clubs with eye care and screening costs. To see if your club qualifies:

  • Your club needs to have established a budget for the year and exceeded that budget.
  • Your club needs to check with nearby clubs to see of other clubs can provide financial assistance.
  • Your club sends a letter, e-mail, or calls VLEIF.

Our aim is to help make sure that you can meet the needs of your communities. Thanks to the former Sight and Hearing Screening Van Corporation for making funds available.

The deadline for applications is December 5 although you are encouraged to submit them earlier. Access more information at http://vleif.org/ Get acquainted with the “Teachers of the Visually Impaired” (TVIs) in local schools as they can assist with recommending qualified students.

Thanks from VLEIF:

The VLEIF Board thanks Lions Clubs and individuals who have generously donated to the Foundation. Our Foundation hopes that 2025-2026 is a year of good vision, so please keep us in mind as you plan your upcoming budget. Donations of $2,000 or more will be recognized with certificates and scholarship grants will be named in honor of those donors.

Invite Us to a Club Meeting:

Please invite us to a meeting so we can share about what we do and how we help those with vision-related issues. We are happy to join you in person or via Zoom.

VLEIF Supports:

In addition to scholarship grants, VLEIF supports the Lions Eye Clinic, Inova Hospital, and the Virginia Low Vision Learning Center in Alexandria. We fund research grants that help to improve eyecare for impaired vision.
