Visitation

Attend a meeting or event sponsored by another club.

We visit other clubs to share ideas and create partnerships.

Purpose:

The visitation program promotes fellowship, provides opportunities for clubs to learn from each other, and exchange ideas on activities, fundraising, and service.

General Guidance:

Each club should have a Visitation Chair to organize visits with other clubs, encourage members to participate in group visits, and provide the District Visitation Chair with their name, phone number, and email address.

Dates:

The visitation program begins July 1 and ends June 30 of the following year.

Goals:

The goal is for every club to make 12 visits a year.

2026-2027 Award Requirements:

There are 2 club visitation categories:

  • Clubs with fewer than 30 members only require 1 member to visit a club to receive credit.
  • Clubs with 30 or more members are required to have at least 2 members visit a club to receive credit.

Exception: If the club visited is more than 50 miles from the visitor’s home club, only one member is required to visit.

Official Cabinet Visits by Cabinet Officers, the DG, and VDGs do not count for Visitation.

Qualifying Visits:

A visit to another club, a district conference, International Convention, USA/Canada Forum, another club’s service project or fundraiser, or any “Lion” event.

Visitation Report:

A report must be submitted to the Visitation Chair by June 30 to receive credit. The report must include the date of the visit, the event or club visited, and the number of club members participating in the visit. This form may be used to report results.

Visitation Awards:

Every club that submits a visitation report to the Visitation Chair by July 14 and meets the requirements, including 12 qualifies visits, will receive a visitation patch. Clubs in both categories with the highest points will be awarded a larger patch.

Awards for the 2025-2026 Lion Year will be presented at the Visitation Kick-Off on August 22, 2026.

Awards for the 2026-2027 Lion Year will be presented at the Visitation Kick-Off in August, 2027.

Visitation Program: Strengthening Fellowship Throughout the Year
By Christine Frescas, District Visitation Chair

Any time during the year is the perfect time to focus on one of the most rewarding traditions in our district — the Visitation Program. Visiting other clubs strengthens fellowship, sparks new ideas, and reminds us that we are part of something larger -- Lions Clubs International.

Visitations offer a great opportunity to:

  • Discover new service and fundraising ideas.
  • Share successes and best practices.
  • Strengthen district unity.
  • Build lasting friendships.
  • Enjoy the fellowship that makes Lionism special.

So, reach out, schedule visits, attend Lions events, and experience the energy and inspiration happening across District 24-L. When Lions visit Lions, friendships grow, ideas flourish, and our communities benefit.
