Location:
District 24-L is one of three Lions Districts within Multiple District 24 in the Commonwealth of Virgina. We serve the cities within or surrounded by the following Virginia Counties: Albemarle, Alleghany, Arlington, Augusta, Bath, Clarke, Culpeper, Fairfax, Fauquier, Fluvanna, Frederick, Greene, Highland, King George, Loudoun, Louisa, Madison, Nelson, Orange, Page, Prince William, Rappahannock, Rockbridge, Rockingham, Shenandoah, Spotsylvania, Stafford, Warren, Westmoreland, including all future Independent Cities created from within these counties, and the Independent Cities of Alexandria, Buena Vista, Charlottesville, Covington, Fairfax City, Falls Church, Fredericksburg, Harrisonburg, Lexington, Manassas, Manassas Park, Staunton, Waynesboro, and Winchester.

District Leadership Bios:
DG Chuck Schwab -- Lion Chuck became a member of our organization in the summer of 1987 in Altavista, Virginia. Since then, he has been a member of several clubs across the state. He has served multiple districts in various positions over the years. His passion is vision – from Leader Dogs for the Blind to our multiple district’s Ball for All project.
Lion Chuck is a Progressive Melvin Jones Fellow and has received several Presidential Certificates of Appreciation. He has also received the President’s Leadership and Presidential Medals, along with LCIF’s Chairperson Medal.
Lion Mary Beth and Lion Chuck are "partners in service." Together, they are committed to helping others become unstoppable, one person at a time.
1VDG Greg DeRosa -- Lion Greg has been a member of the Fairfax Host Lions Club since 1994. Last year, he served as 2nd Vice District Governor and prior to that, as the District Global Membership Chair, as a Zone Chair for multiple zones, District Chair for Lions Safety and Disaster Relief, Diabetes Awareness, Youth Exchange, and Conference Chair. He is a graduate of the 2024 Regional Lions Leadership Institute.
At the club level, he served as President, Treasurer, Membership Chair, and Leo Advisor. Lion Greg is a three-time Progressive Melvin Jones Fellow (2005, 2015, 2023). His service is matched by his family's commitment. His wife Lion Karen is their club's Past President. Both their children have served as Leo Presidents, and his son as a UVA Lion Club President. In addition, the DeRosa family are LPCCI Life Members and former puppy raisers of Brandie IV.
Lion Greg graduated from Virginia Tech in 1983 and retired after 38 years of Federal Service.
2VDG Mark Larsen -- Lion Mark has served in a variety of leadership roles including Club President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, and LCIF Coordinator. Through these positions, he has gained extensive experience in club operations, membership development, leadership mentoring, fundraising, and project management.
At the district level, he served as a Zone Chair and has contributed to several key leadership initiatives, including the Global Leadership Team (GLT), the District Membership Approach Team, and as District 24-L Global Extension Team (GET) Coordinator.
A dedicated lifelong learner, Lion Mark is a graduate of both the Regional Lions Leadership Institute and the Advanced Lions Leadership Institute. He earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Lions University and is on track to receive his Master’s Degree in 2026. As a Guiding Lion, he remains committed to strengthening clubs, developing future leaders, and fostering sustainable growth throughout the district.
Lion Mark is a Melvin Jones Fellow and has been honored with Presidential Certificates of Achievement from International Presidents, in recognition of his outstanding service and leadership.
He and his wife, Joan, reside in Stafford, Virginia, where they continue their commitment to serving their community and advancing the mission of Lions Clubs International: We Serve.
