Attend a meeting or event sponsored by another club.
We visit other clubs to share ideas and create partnerships.
Purpose:
The visitation program promotes fellowship and provides opportunities for clubs to learn from one another while exchanging ideas on service projects, fundraising, and community impact.
General Guidance:
Each club should appoint a Visitation Chair to:
- Organize visits with other clubs.
- Encourage group participation.
- Provide information to the District Visitation Chair.
Goals:
Clubs are encouraged to complete 12 visits during the Lion year. Group visits and event attendance can quickly help clubs reach the goal.
Visitation Award Requirements:
- For clubs with fewer than 30 members, only one member is required to make the visit.
- For clubs with 30 or more members, at least two members are required to make the visit.
Important Notes:
- Official Executive Leadership (DG, VDGs, District LCIF Chair) visits do not count.
- If the club visited is more than 50 miles from the visitor’s home club, only one member is required to make the visit.
Qualifying Visits:
Credit is earned for participating in:
- Another club's meeting.
- Another club's service project or fundraiser.
- A District Conference or State Convention.
- The International Convention.
- The USA/Canada Leadership Forum.
- Any Lions-related event.
Visitation Report Requirements:
To receive credit, a report for each visit must be submitted to the District Visitation Chair by June 30 and must include:
- Date of visit.
- Club or event visited.
- Number of members participating.
Visitation Awards:
- Clubs completing 12 visits and meeting all requirements will receive a Visitation Patch.
- The club with fewer than 30 members that earns the most points receives a Large Visitation Patch.
- The club with 30 or more members that earns the most points receives a Large Visitation Patch.
100% Club Visit Award:
Clubs in which all active members participate in the visitation program will receive a 100% Visitation Award.
Visitation Program Reminder: Strengthening Fellowship Through the Remainder of the Year
By Christine Frescas, District Visitation Chair
With the Lions year already more than halfway complete, now is the perfect time to refocus on one of the most rewarding traditions in our district — the Visitation Program. Visiting fellow clubs strengthens fellowship, sparks new service ideas, and reminds us that we are part of something larger -- Lions Clubs International.
If your club has not yet met its visitation goal, there is still time to participate, build connections, and qualify for recognition before the June 30 deadline.
Why Visit Now? These final months offer a great opportunity to:
- Discover new service and fundraising ideas.
- Share successes and best practices.
- Strengthen district unity.
- Build lasting friendships.
- Enjoy the fellowship that makes Lionism special.
Let’s finish the year strong. Reach out, schedule visits, attend Lions events, and experience the energy and inspiration happening across District 24-L. When Lions visit Lions, friendships grow, ideas flourish, and our communities benefit.
